Sossusvlei and the worlds highest sand dunes Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Namibia. Transfer
from the airport is arranged on request. Participate in a City
Tour, a Katutura Township Tour and some shopping in Windhoek.
Aclimatise and sleep over at your accommodation in Windhoek.
Day 2: After breakfast, depart
from Windhoek for the south. Stop for a lunch along the route
in the namibian section of the Kalahari. After the lunchbreak,
travel on through some fascinating red dune landscape. Arrive
at your accommodation for the day. Enjoy supper and sleep over.
Day 3: After breakfast enjoy
a guided walk or a game drive to see the herds of springbok
and oryx of the area. Thereafter return for lunch to the accommodation.
After lunch a further exciting game and nature drive or simply
relax at the swimmingpool. Enjoy a stunning sunset, supper and
sleep over.
Day 4: After breakfast depart
for the south. Stop at the Garas Park Quivertree Forest. Continue
on to Keetmanshoop. After a short stop for lunch in the capital
of the south, continue the journey to Aus. Here you can check-in
to your accommodation and go for a short drive to see the wild
horses of the Namib. Return for a sundowner and stunning sunset,
supper and a good nights rest.
Day 5: After breakfast depart
for the Sossusvlei and Sesriem. Stop for lunch at a farm that
lies on the Tsauchab, the river that feeds the Sossusvlei in
the rainy season. After lunch pay a visit to the largest Quivertree
forest in the area. Thereafter you will proceed to your accommodation
near Sossusvlei for a stunning sunset, supper and a good nights
rest.
Day 6: After breakfast depart
for Sesriem and Sossusvlei. Stop for breakfast in the world-famous
Sossusvlei under a large Camelthorn tree. After breakfast walk
to the top of one of the highest dunes in the world. Afterwards
take a kilometre walk into Deadvlei, a vlei with ancient camelthorn
treestumps. Return to the accommodation for lunch and enjoy
a walk or relax at the pool and enjoy a typical namibian sunset
in the desert. Freshen up and go for supper and enjoy a good
nights rest.
Day 7: After breakfast explore
the Sesriem Canyon, pay a visit to the Elim Dune and spend the
morning in the park observing the groups of Sprinbok, Oryx and
Ostriches with a dune backdrop. Stop for lunch at a lodge. After
lunch, travel on in a northerly direction to see the petrified
dunes en route. Arrive at your accommodation, participate in
a nature drive and return to the accommodation for refreshments
and to freshen up. Supper and sleep over.
Day 8: After breakfast spend
the morning doing a nature -drive. Stop for lunch at the lodge.
After lunch spend time at the pool, walk an exciting trail or
do a further nature-drive into an undiscovered part of the area.
Travel on to your new accommodation for supper and a good nights
rest.
Day 9: After a hearty breakfast
you can do a game and nature drive. Relax at the pool and enjoy
the scenery. Enjoy lunch and a game drive till sunset. There
are some exceptionally exciting walks and stunning sunset spots
to be explored. Late afternoon you go for supper and a good
nights rest.
Day 10: After breakfast a nature
& game drive along a different route. After the game-drive
you return to your accommodation to relax at the pool and enjoy
a lunch. After lunch embark on the journey back to Windhoek,
either via the Gamsberg Pass or up the Spreetshoogte Pass. In
Windhoek you will check in at the accommodation, do some shopping,
go to the Namibia Craft Centre and return for supper to the
accommodation and a good nights rest. Mini
tour around Windhoek, township tour and transfer to the airport
is arranged on request.

Terms
and Conditions of Orupuka Transfers & Tours cc (OT&T)
Reservation, Confirmation
and Payment
The confirmation of a booking is seen as a final contract
between the client and ORUPUKA TRANSFERS & TOURS cc
furthermore refered to as OT&T.
A booking is automatically confirmed and accepted with
the final confirmation invoice. Together with the confirmation
OT&T requests a non-refundable 25% deposit of the
total price. The contract will be effective from receipt
of deposit. Until then the correspondence is merely a
quotation, subject to price changes and availibility.
Final payment is due to an account, not later than 8 weeks
prior to arrival. On receipt of final payment the travel
documents will be deposited for the clients attention
at the car hire company, the transfer company or the first
accommodation in Namibia, or if preferred faxed or posted
directly to you at home, at an additional postage fee.
You are welcome to pay by Visa or Master
Credit Card! Cancellations
Any cancellation must be given in writing. Due to the
varied and stringent cancellation policies of the different
accommodation establishments the following applies:

No refunds are made for a change of
itinerary during the trip or for services booked but not
claimed. Clients must have a separate insurance for such
instances.
Insurance OT&T
strongly recommends that clients take out a comprehensive
travel and cancellation insurance and advises to
take out insurances for medical expenses, luggage, accidents
and cash money. OT&T will
not accept any liability for injury, illness, death, damage
and/or financial loss of the clients on the journey.
OT&T undertakes merely the
mediation of someone else’s performance and will
not adhere to the performance as such. Driver’s
Licences (if required)
The client undertaking a self-drive tour is responsible
to obtain a valid international driver’s licence
before arrival. The driver’s licence of the country
of origin must also be presented on request.
Visas, Passports and Health Regulations
It is the responsibility of each client to ensure that
passports and visas are valid for the countries visited.
OT&T will not be liable
for any visas etc. not held by guests. Medical advice
about Anti-Malaria precautions (especially in the northern
parts of the country) should be commenced prior to arrival.
It is the obligation of the client to ensure that he or
she is medically fit and able to embark upon a planned
tour. |
