"Footprint
& TRAX" Adventure & Activity Guide 2008 |
 |
 |
 |
 |
| |
The
new concept for an Adventure and Activity Guide
was presented to the Tourism Industry recently
at the HTTF Tourist Forum and was generally
well accepted. The positive feed-back has started
the ball rolling and the publication was born.
Work has begun on the compiling of advertisements
and general information for the first edition
for 2008. Our ultimate aim is to have a fully
comprehensive guide for the 2010 Football World
Cup, as the spill over in tourism to Namibia
will be noticable. In 2009 RSA is also hosting
the Confederation Cup. All tour operators that
have an adventure or activity product to sell,
are welcome to send us their programme and request
further detailed information on the product
from us under namgate@iafrica.com.na.
We will gladly give you as much information
as requested.
The guide itself will be devided into the four
main regions of Namibia, and these further devided
into the main hubs of activity.
Swakopmund is at present the main centre for
activities, but Windhoek urgently needs some
extra marketing in the line of adventure. Windhoek
is the point of entry into the country, and
research has shown

that travellers need to find some exciting
things to do on the first few and last few days of
their holiday. There are a number of enterprises thinking
of starting activities that have to date only been
offered at the coast.
Should you have special activities that you would
like to make known, please send us the information
so that we can record it for future use. You may also
contact me directly if you require assistance with
the marketing, photography or texting for your adventure
and activity package.
Looking forward to hearing from you in the near future. |
